Wayne County Schools would like to congratulate two archers for placing and competing at NASP state. Lilly Owens  4^th place in Middle School Girls  ( 4^th out of 3,846 girls ) Wesley Denney 5^th place in High School Boys ( 5^th out of 4,437 boys )

The middle school golf team competed this past weekend at Dix River in Stanford, KY.  Two of the players Emma Rector with a 48 and Kooper Gerhing with even par 36, will be advancing on to State playoffs at Juniper Hill Golf Course in Frankfort, KY September 28th. The middle school players are made up of Kooper Gerhing, Clark Phillips, Jackson Chaplin, Emma Rector, and Keegan Gregory.

Middle School Girls Basketball competed against Casey County last Thursday with 6th and 7th coming up short in game play, and 8th grade being victorious over Casey County.  

Wayne County Middle School football was in gameplay last week against Williamsburg. Cards came out victorious with a 48-24 win at home. 

The Wayne County School District and Wayne County Middle School organized a special program aimed at educating students about the negative and harmful effects of using tobacco products and vaping. All students from grades 6th-8th attended the presentation, which was held throughout the day. The informative session was delivered by Josey Cruse, a representative from Operation Unite.
